While Penn State students have traveled home for the Thanksgiving break, making campus a little quieter than usual, things are as busy as ever here in Undergraduate Admissions!
We are processing transcripts, test scores, and applications as fast as we can – and we are certainly thankful for the thousands of students interested in studying at Penn State! Just as our recommended filing date of November 30 approaches, we wanted to let you know that our staff will be taking a few days off to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday.
Admissions offices, as well other offices and departments, will be closed at all Penn State campuses on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29. While the timing isn’t exactly ideal for the upcoming filing date, rest assured that you can still apply online through MyPennState during this time. Although you can apply online over this break, we will not be processing any supplemental materials, like transcripts, or making any admission decisions until we are back in the office on Monday, December 2.
For all applicants who have sent materials over the last few weeks: do not worry if on November 30 your MyPennState status still indicates those items are missing! We use the date that items arrived to our office to determine if the application is complete by November 30, and it does take some time to go through all the transcripts we receive before we can update your MyPennState profile.
