Can I still apply after November 30?

It’s hard to believe three full months have passed since our application for Summer and Fall 2014 became available on September 1 — yet it’s true, November 30 is here!

November 30 is our priority filing date. What does this mean? If you remember our post from about a month ago, it means that students who submit a complete application before that date will be in our first review group, and thus have the best chance of being admitted to their first choice major and campus. (Note: For nursing and the premedical-medical program, November 30 is a hard deadline.)

At Penn State, however, we will continue receiving and reviewing applications on a rolling basis after November 30, often right until the semester begins. Keep in mind, some campuses or programs might “close” earlier than others, so your options typically become more limited the later you apply.

So, though November 30 is upon us, you still have time to apply! Make sure you do so as early as you can, since admission to Penn State gets more competitive with each passing month.

We also encourage you to check our website for other dates and deadlines that may apply to you if you are an international student or transfer student.
