While December has been a very busy time in the Undergraduate Admissions Office with the processing of thousands of applications, transcripts, and other items, the time is upon us where the University closes for the holidays.
The admissions office (as well as all other units of the University at both University Park and our campuses) will be closed from Monday, December 23 through Wednesday, January 1. We will reopen at 8:00 a.m. EST on Thursday, January 2, ready to answer your emails and calls.
During the holiday closure, there will be no action taken on pending applications, so you will not see any updates in MyPennState during that time. Additionally, if you send any email requests or mail any documents, we will not begin processing those until Thursday, January 2.
We will continue the review of applications upon return to the office, and we want to remind domestic students that applied by the November 30 priority filing date that you will have your admissions decision by January 31. While we are processing applications as quickly as possible, the majority of our admissions decisions will not be shared until mid-to-late January.
