Black History Month PSU Scholar Program

The Black History Month PSU Scholar Program is hosted by the Penn State Alliance for Education, Science, Engineering and Development in Africa (AESEDA) and Department of African American Studies. There are panel discussions on three days (Feb. 16, 21, 22) highlighting the research of 12 faculty members of African descent.

This is a great opportunity for students (both undergraduates and graduates) to learn about research on campus, ask questions, and make connections with faculty.

These event will be held in the Foster Auditorium on the University Park Campus and live-streamed to the other branch campuses. See the flyer below for more information.

The organizers are looking forward to strong participation and using these discussions to launch a larger conversation within the campus community.

From Gregory Jenkins (Director of AESEDA): “There is so much to talk about in light of recent events and how students of color maybe impacted…for example to cuts in federal agencies and federal hiring freezes.  I hope that we can have a town hall about that in the future.”
