Wow! What a week to be Eagles fans, not only did we win we beat the best team in the NFL, we made them look sad. The Eagles defense destroyed their old teammate Sam Bradford in his first return back to Philly since he was traded earlier in the year.  It was awesome to see our defense out preform the ” best defense in the NFL.”

The win all started with our second kickoff return for a touchdown in two weeks. Not only are we the only team with two kickoff returns for touchdowns, no other team in the NFL even has one kickoff return for a touchdown. Then not only did our defense play great, Wentz was able to battle back after a struggling first half to score a touchdown in the third quarter. images-1

The whole game was a group win, but man that defense went to town against Minnesota’s offensive line. It seemed like every play someone was pressuring Sam Bradford back in the pocket. The Eagles defense had something to prove to the whole NFL that, they are the best defense in the NFL. I can’t speak for everyone but after that performance I can confidently say the Eagles have the best defense in the NFL in my eyes.

Analyst all over the NFL are saying our defense is one of the biggest shocks of the start of this NFL season. I can tell you one thing offense is big, especially in today’s style football, but history shows defense wins championships. Last year for example the Denver Broncos won the Superbowl with an old, struggling Peyton Manning. You know why? There defense won them the game, they either scored on defense or gave the offense great field position to work with.

I am not saying were gonna win the Superbowl at all, but I am saying we finally have all the major pieces except for a true number one wide receiver. Other than that we have a franchise quarterback, a good running game, solid offensive line,  and clearly an elite defense. If not this year are time is coming soon, the pieces are finally coming together here in Philly and that truly excites me.

Instead of my DeVuono’s Dozen this week I thought I’d change it up and give you fantasy football junkies a segment this week. Knowing your frustrations are probably coming to a head with byes weeks starting and injuries taking a tole I’m gonna give you my top five loves for this week and my top five hates.

Loves: 1. David Johnson, 2. Aaron Rodgers, 3. DeMarco Murray, 4. Julio Jones, 5. Mike Evans
