Online Instructor and Teaching Competencies Lit Review
I’ve been working on a literature review that is a follow up to previous work that I did with Jürgen Hilke, member of the Quality Matters (QM) Board of Directors and Director of Distance Learning at Frederick Community College several years ago. The results are not yet published but will be available in the future on the Quality Matters web site in their research area. The QM initial press release on this work can be found here.
I’ll update on any upcoming presentations of the material…

Military Times and Victory Media rank PSU high on friendly list – Adult Ed program noted
Penn State released a news story today that mentions the Penn State Adult Education program. The Military Times and Victory Media have ranked Penn State #8 in their top list of military friendly online and non-traditional institutions. The Adult Ed program is happy to be a part of this success story and are enjoying working with everyone at the Sergeants Major Academy at Fort Bliss. Aside from working closely with PSU World Campus, we are also working with our colleagues in Learning, Design, and Technology who are delivering valuable electives courses as part of this collaboration with the Army.

USASMA Orientation Photos from August 2015
Thanks to the Army for documenting our Orientation and for posting these on Flickr. I enjoyed these days of orientation and continue to enjoy working with these accomplished individuals who are earning their master’s degrees in Adult Education. It’s a privilege to be a part of this collaboration. There is an article here that provides more details on the 2015 event at Fort Bliss.
