It has been a great week at COABE in Dallas, Texas! I enjoyed meeting many dedicated adult educators during my week in Dallas and had the opportunity to share details about our 30 credit online MEd in Lifelong Learning and Adult Education – as well as our online Post-baccalaureate certificates in Distance Education and also in Adult Basic Education (ABE).
Our ABE certificate has three required courses and then allows you to choose an elective so that you can tailor this certificate to your needs/interests. Course topics include introduction to adult education, teaching math and numeracy to adults, and teaching reading to college students and adults. The elective options include many – such as ESL, program planning and administration, distance education, educational technology, or adult learning.
Our Distance Education Certificate is a 12 credit program for those who want to expand their knowledge and skills in the field of distance education. There are four required courses and they include subject matter on adult education principles, distance education course design, instructional technology, program planning and more…
Our MEd in Lifelong Learning and Adult Education is a 30 credit master’s program that brings together working professionals from myriad fields, including adult basic education, literacy, continuing education, corporate training, distance education, and education technology. We have a collaborative environment and always are amazed at the depth of experience and knowledge that is shared during our courses.
