ISSUE: how to connect a SMART Sympodium display and calibrate the touchscreen.

RESOLUTION:

  1. Login to the PC
  2. Click the Start menu (Windows icon), SMART Technologies, SMART Settings
  3. On the window that appears, click “Connection Wizard”
  4. The system will search for SMART hardware, and should provide a list which includes a “SMART Podium #### interactive pen display.”  Click this entry, then click next.
  5. You should see a confirmation screen; click “Finish.”
  6. You’ll return to the SMART Settings window; click “Orient/Align the SMART Product.”
  7. Use the attached stylus pen to touch the center of each target on the screen as it appears.  When complete, the calibration screen will close, returning you to the SMART Settings window.
  8. Close SMART Settings.
  9. Press one of the physical buttons at the top of the monitor, to choose a pen type/color.  Use the pen and write anywhere on the screen; a writing box should appear, and display whatever you are writing with the stylus.
  10. Connection and calibration are complete!  You may log out.
