Stretching: Your Body Will Thank You

Have you ever woken up in the morning and you feel your entire body hurt just because you got out of bed? That is your muscles telling you that they’re too tight and it’s time for you to stretch in order for them to relax. Recently, I’ve started to stretch as soon as I get out of bed so that my body relaxes and I can focus on my classes and the rest of my daily activities as well. I’ve felt much better about myself as well as felt fresher when I wake up and I highly recommend it to everyone as well.

Not only is stretching something that can make you feel better, but also it helps your body in numerous ways. One way is that it helps your muscles relax and releases tension from the day before or from your body shifting around at night. It is very important that you release this tension because otherwise your muscles can get strained or pulled if you do not take care of them like you are supposed to. Another issue can be that your muscles deteriorate if you do not stretch them out properly and that can also have immensely bad effects for your body.

I addition to your body, stretching can have an impact on your brain too. When you stretch, your brain releases endorphins which can make you feel better, healthier, and calmer too. These endorphins are really important for your body as they serve as the main way that you can feel good in the morning and you will automatically start your day off on a good feeling.
