I am a member in Penn State CSSA (Chinese Student and Scholars Association). CSSA is dedicated to enhancing communication, enriching life recreation, and facilitating mutual assistance for Chinese students. We endeavor in every aspect with the long-term goal of building an open and strong community, promoting Chinese culture development across the campus, and contributing to fostering the cultural diversity of the region.

I am in Publicity Department in CSSA. My duties mainly include designing posters and writing articles which are responsible for the dissemination of information related to CSSA. We shall compose event notices and reports and guarantee CSSA members’ reception of the notices and reports.

I learnt how to shoot videos and edit films after I became a member in CSSA. Because I will major in new media, CSSA  is a good platform for me to improve my designing skills. The posters I designed can be shown in my future portfolio when I am ready to apply a graduate school.

Also, being a member in CSSA increases my interpersonal skills. I used to be a shy and quiet person, but now I become more outgoing. Really a good experience for me to study designing skills and making new friends!
