I am a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Columbia University, host by Prof. Samory Kpotufe. I obtained PhD degree at Pennsylvania State University, department of computer science and engineering, where I was advised by Prof. Mehrdad Mahdavi. Before I joined Penn state, I obtained my Bachelor degree from Soochow University, Suzhou, China at 2018. I also closely work with Sony AI, Cruise and Google Deepmind.

My research interests include multiple source learning (especially federated learning), optimization (especially minimax optimization), modern machine learning theory and other mathematical aspects of machine learning. I also have passion on applying machine learning to solve real-world problem.
