Course Objectives:
1. Select the proper technique to probe a specific material property or characteristic as needed.
2. Understand the fundamental principles that are used in microscopic, thermal analysis.
3. Understand the fundamental principles which enable molecular-level characterization (chromatography and infrared spectroscopy) to occur.
4. Identify critical relationships between testing methods and results
5. Evaluate polymer microstructures at different size scales
