Hello, I am Mark Feng, a 21 years-old junior at Penn State University student majoring in photojournalism and minoring in Japanese, and my expected graduation year is 2024.
I’ve been engaging in this field for a long time during my academic college life. So far, I have finished going through professional courses, which have supplied me with the necessary knowledge in this field. I’ve got the dean’s list in 3 out of 6 semesters and have a 3.6 GPA. Moreover, my language diversity (Chinese, English, Japanese, German) allows me to work flexibly and participate in different groups. Thus, I’m confident about my eligibility for any challenge I will face in the future.
I started my media work when I was a high school student. I worked in my high school’s radio station as an official school reporter and was responsible for reporting things that happened on campus. After entering Penn State University, I gained further knowledge about this field. For example, I learned relative laws about shooting and posting pictures and whether it’s ethical to post photographs in specific situations. That will help me to avoid unnecessary trouble while working.
Aside from academic studying, I’m also a leader of my dancing club in college. I’ve been working in this position for three years and have choreographed and organized three times large dance showcases. As the leader of my dance team, I need to moderate conflicts between members and consolidate their relationships to increase work efficiency. In the meanwhile, I’m also my club’s media department member. My mission in this department is to edit promotional articles and take pictures for dancers, and you can check these pictures in my portfolio.
I’m open to any questions and opportunities. If you need further information, please get in touch with me at zqf5078@psu.edu or (123)-4567890.
