Research. My core linguistics research applies theoretical and experimental methods to explore structure, meaning, and sound in natural language. Visit my Linguistics Research page for more information and links to papers, and click here to see my TED talk on “double negatives”.

Outreach. Part of my role as CLS Assistant Director is to lead our chapter of Bilingualism Matters at PSU. Our group creates and implements workshops, activities, and resources that translate research findings on language research, with a particular focus on multilingualism and language development, for more general audiences, including teachers and parents. Check out our newsletters to learn more about this work.
