Created in late 1981 by an executive order of Pennsylvania governor Dick Thornburgh, the Pennsylvania State Data Center (PaSDC) is the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s official source for population and economic statistics.  This early photograph of the staff at the PaSDC includes Michael Behney (left, now director of the Institute of State and Regional Affairs), Paul Hallacher (center), and Kevin Geist.
