Welcome to the website of The Attention and Behavior Clinic (ABC) Research Group!

Come join our team! We have an Open Rank Faculty Position available in the Attention and Behavior Clinic:  https://www.pennstatehealth.org/careers/phd-pshmc-psychiatry-op-0

The ABC Research Group is directed by Dr. James Waxmonsky, Dr. Daniel Waschbusch, Dr. Dara Babinski, and Dr. Raman Baweja. We are affiliated with the Penn State College of Medicine – department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health and are located at the Penn State Medical Group’s Outpatient Psychiatry Center.

Our research examines Attention/Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Conduct Disorder (CD), and other externalizing disorders across the lifespan. Current projects focus on examining reward response and emotion regulation in child, adolescent, and parent populations.

Through the use of EMA data, EEG, fMRI, and self-report, we are able to inform our research. While we aim to identify early factors that may relate to child behavior issues, such as negative parenting, we also aim to identify positive impacts on behavior.

Interested in participating in our research? Check-out our other age group tabs that specify what studies are currently recruiting participants. Below is a short list of the studies we are currently recruiting participants for!
