November 9, 2020 –  NOON EST – Parents’ Perspectives of Distance Learning in K-12 School Education Amid COVID-19 – Dr. Hasan Nuseibeh

This presentation will focus on parents’ feedback and main concerns regarding the mandatory transfer to distance learning. Two focus groups were conducted with parents of K-12 children attending a local private school. Topics about school-parents partnership, students’ satisfaction, technology, quality of learning, and teaching will be discussed. Recommendations for best practices and methods will be addressed.

Dr. Hasan Nuseibeh is an Assistant Professor in the College of business at Al-Quds University, he is the head of the Digital Business department at the dual studies program, he is currently also heading the computer science program at Al-Quds Bard College.
Hasan earned his Ph.D. in Information Systems and Decision sciences from the University of South Florida in Tampa after winning the Fulbright Foreign student scholarship from the US State Department.
Hasan has over 15 years of experience in both academia and industry, he was the information director at the University president’s office at Al-Quds, and information security manager at a private software company
