In 2012, Kile Glover, who is Usher’s stepson passed away from a jetski accident. Kile was sent to the hospital, but died after two weeks he was hospitalized.

 

However, there was a reason why Kile’s death became an issue. The lake that Kile died was called “The Cursed Lake.”

 

This cursed lake is called the Lanier lake, which is the largest lake in Georgia. This lake was a human-made lake in 1956.

 

However, after the Lanier lake was made strange things kept happening.

 

An unnoticed raft has been found from no where. And  animals around the lake started to disappear. Also, several drowning accidents happened.

 

From what the survivors said, they saw a blue hand pulling them down to the water.

 

For 50 years, 675 people died in the Lanier lake.

 

 

Why would this happen?

 

Once, there was a woman’s corpse found in the lake. The owner of the body was the woman who went missing two years ago, Delia Parker Young.

 

It is assumed that she was abandoned in the laker after she was murdered.

 

What is strange is that there was none of her hands on her body. To find the missing hands, there was an investigation throughout the lake, but there was no clue of the missing hands.

 

People thought that the blue hands were the missing hands of Delia and she cursed the lake.

 

However, some people claimed that the accidents were caused by giant catfishes. It was said that catfishes over 2m exited in the Lanier lake.

In 1980, scuba divers said they have witnessed catfishes in the lake.

 

 

 

In 1998, an unbelievable truth was unveiled.

 

David Croblin, who studied the Lanier lake, said that there are many ashes beneath the lake.

 

After the construction of the Buford Dam, the Lanier lake was made by submerging several houses. In the town that has been sunk, there were more than 20 cemeteries. However, the tombs were not dispatched from their original places as it was mostly owned by African- American slaves and nameless people.

 

 

With the history behind the Lanier lake, people believed that the deads from the cemeteries cursed the lake and leading many people to death.

 

 

No one knows why there are so many inccidents in this lake.

Even today, accidents are keep happening in the Lanier lake. Some people voice out that it is necessary to close the lake. However, there are still people visiting the lake today.
