Applications for our Spring 2024 Craft It, Pitch It, Win It! event are now closed.

The Altoona LaunchBox and the Penn State Altoona Sheetz Fellows Program are proud to offer Creators & Makers in the Southern Alleghenies region the opportunity to compete in our Marketing Pitch Competition to increase their marketing budget!

 Do you need a website, logo design, help with social media? Want to upgrade your e-commerce game?

Apply by March 10, 2024. Tell us about your business and how you would like to enhance your marketing strategy. If selected as a finalist you will participate in the Craft It, Pitch It, Win It! Marketing Pitch Competition to be held on April 10, and compete for $10,000 in prize money.

KEY DATES:

  • Applications Open – February 6

  • Application Deadline – March 10 at 5PM

  • Pitch Competition Participants Announced – March 14

  • Final Pitch Event – April 10

YOU QUALIFY TO APPLY IF:

  • Your business is located in Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Fulton, Huntingdon, or Somerset County, PA.

  • You have a registered business entity with the State of Pennsylvania.

  • You are a Crafter, Maker, Creator…

IF I’M SELECTED, WHAT’S NEXT?

If selected as a finalist, you will have approximately 4 weeks to work independently and prepare for the competition. Don’t worry! – we’ll send you some training materials to assist in your preparation.

You will be asked to prepare a basic marketing plan in advance. During the competition, you will have 6 minutes to share information with a panel of independent judges about your business/product, and how you plan to implement new marketing strategies.

Craft It, Pitch It, Win It! will be held on Wednesday, April 10 at 6:00 P.M. in person at the Sheetz Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence, 1309 11th Avenue, Altoona, PA 16601. Application is open to businesses located in Bedford, Blair, Cambria, Fulton, Huntingdon, and Somerset counties.
