Demi-Matte Finish

edit1Foundations generally come with 3 different types of finishes that are dewy, natural, and matte. As shown in the picture dewy and natural give a nice glow that makes people look shiny but not in a bad way. Many dry skinned people tend to go for the dewy or natural finished foundations such as the L’Oreal True Match because it gives the skin a glow without making you look like your sweating. This foundation comes with a beautiful demi-matte finish that leaves your skin looking soft, smooth, and no shine.

Since this foundation is not completely matte, developing “cake face” will never happen when using this product. Many people fear using foundations with a any type of matte finish because they do not want to develop “cake face”. “Cake face” is a term that people use when their make-up looks too thick and prominent on their face. The whole point of wearing foundation is cover up any imperfections and making your skin looking naturally beautiful without showing that you are wearing make-up. Matte foundations have always been ideal for oily skinned since dewy finishes increase the oil on a face. As matte foundations have developed through the years they can now be used on any type of skin types. If a dry skin person ever wanted to use a matte foundation they would just have to use a primer to help moisturize the face so dry patches do not appear under the foundation. Primers help prep the skin for any products that are going to beĀ applied and will extend how long the make-up lasts.
