There are five levels of national membership: Regular, Graduate, Honorary, Associate and Promoted.

Regular: Undergraduate students who qualify for National Membership.

Graduate: Graduate students or faculty members in biology.

Honorary: Regular members who exhibit a significant accomplishment in the biological field or in the chapter.

Associate: Undergraduate students who have not yet met the requirements for Regular membership.

Promoted: Associate members who have met the requirements for Regular membership

There is also the option of being a club member only.
