Nelson Mandela

GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN

As most of us have probably heard already, Nelson Mandela has passed away on Thursday, December 5th. He was 95 years old, and had been treating his long-term lung illness in his home since September. Nonetheless, he lived an extremely successful life. He did so many great things for South Africa and fought for all the right causes.

Mandela was always known to be a determined soul; he spent 27 years in jail and went on to become South Africa’s first black president in 1994. While this was an honor to him, he stepped down in 1999 after just one term to focus better on other issues such as campaigning against HIV/AIDS.

Awww. This is a tragic loss to the world as a whole. I really believe that Nelson left a great impact on this world and the people he touched through out his life. With all of the good work he achieved, he must have been so proud of his accomplishments.
