The Practice of Art: Guided tours of the Susquehanna Art Museum open to ALL Penn State Hershey Medical Center faculty, staff, and students plus-one. Provided by The Doctors Kienle Center for Humanistic Medicine.
Calling All Artists: Penn State Health and College of Medicine patients, employees and students have the opportunity to showcase their original artistic creations in the Community Art Gallery outside of Room T2500.
Arts Repository: Curated list of arts engagements to enjoy from work or home
Live Music in Lobbies: Professional musicians of a variety of genres and instruments play cheerful and reflective music in numerous clinical and family areas. Accomplished, professional pianists play soothing and uplifting melodies on the pianos in our lobbies.
Lunch With Center Stage: Summer lunchtime concert series in our outdoor courtyard, featuring local professional ensembles including jazz, classical, soft rock music and more. Our performances are taking place in the BMR Courtyard Fridays 12 noon – 1:00 pm, May through early September.
In the Key of D Concert Series: A free concert and community dinner series for healthcare providers, medical students, faculty and staff, plus one. These performances by local and national professional musicians are sponsored by The Doctors Kienle Center for Humanistic Medicine and feature the Steinway D concert grand piano in Lecture Room D.
Wild Onions Publication: Wild Onions is an annual publication funded by the Department of Humanities, Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. It is a journal of poetry, prose, and visual art, created by members of the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Community.
Participatory Art Workshops: Professional teaching artists lead art workshops for patients at home using common household items, and maintaining accessibility for all abilities – offered via Zoom, by request.
