Center Stage Arts in Health has added inventory to the Joseph F. Wall Hospital Gift Shop located on the first floor in the surgical waiting area. All proceeds from sales of these items benefit Center Stage Arts in Health music and visual art programs, including Live Music in Lobbies, Pick-a-Pic, Lunch with Center Stage, and art displays, to support patient and staff well-being.
One of the items available for purchase is matted art prints from the collection of images for the Pick a Pic program. Pick a Pic is the Center Stage lending library of artwork from which inpatients choose an artwork for their wall during their stay with us. Art becomes both a source of inspiration for the patients and a conversation piece for providers.
Four types of art kits are also available for purchase. These on-the-go kits contain everything needed to create an art project. They are a wonderful gift for patients spending time in the hospital, or for family members when they accompany loved ones. They are likewise a source of stress relief and positive distraction for others working and visiting in the hospital.
Center Stage also created sets note cards featuring artwork from the College of Medicine, Children’s Hospital, and adult hospital collections.
