We value our patients and families. We strive to make your visit welcoming as you navigate your health care needs. Here is how we use the power of the arts in our programs
Art for Wellness Workshops: Professional teaching artists lead art workshops for patients before PSCI support group meetings and/or at home using common household items, and maintaining accessibility for all abilities – offered via Zoom, by request.
Musical Videos: Uplifting music videos from our local musicians.
Medical students recorded short videos for our patients in the hospital.
Live Music in Lobbies: Professional musicians of a variety of genres and instruments play cheerful and reflective music in numerous clinical and family areas.
Lunch with Center Stage: Summer lunchtime concert series in our outdoor courtyard, featuring local professional ensembles including jazz, classical, soft rock music and more. Check back in May for our 2021 performance schedule!
Art Therapy: For patients and families to support and improve psychological, developmental, physical, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual well-being.
Arts Repository: Curated list of arts engagements to enjoy from home.
Pick-A-Pic: Center Stage staff visits patients when they are admitted to the hospital. Staff offers a portfolio of work by regional artists. Patients have the opportunity to choose artwork that hangs in their room during their hospital stay.
Commissioned Art: Our Public Art Committee chooses commissioned art work designed to enhance the environment of clinical and public areas. We are proud of the work that inspires our whole community and establishes a tangible connection between humanities and medicine. Enjoy our Self-guided Art Walking Tour, click here for more details.
Murals: Our Coordinator for Artistic Enhancement Betsy Fallat has created murals in clinical and family areas.
Survivorship Day: We proudly join the rest of the PSCI to honor our cancer survivors annually, bringing together resources, inspirational speakers and a network of support for cancer survivors and their families.
