10 Cubic Feet

As a final project for my architecture studio class, I was tasked to create a small structure that can be used part of the day for two programs. The space must have a transformational element that reconfigures the space for the two uses.

The design was taken from intention and program selection utilizing strategies and principles learned throughout the semester through the design phase to final production of drawings and graphics. This process was extremely fast-paced and a lot was learned about being able to communicate your ideas quickly and effectively.

My final design transforms from a study or work space that is secluded and private to an open and inviting gathering space. This transformation completely changes the experience occupants have and is highlighted by pivoting walls that when open, connect the inside to an expansive outdoor area.

Adobe Photoshop was used to create diagrams, visuals, drawings, and enhance renderings. Autodesk Revit was used to make the virtual model that was the base of the renderings, isometric views, and drawings.
