Authorized for University-Wide Use
Courseware that has met the minimum regulatory compliances for Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), accessibility and export control and the supplier has signed an agreement with the University.
Fees are not part of the review process for being designated ‘Authorized for University-wide Use.’ If you intend for the University to pay any fees, you are responsible for following University Purchasing Policy BS09 prior to your use of the Courseware.
Canvas Integration vs. Link in Canvas
Canvas Integration involves configuration changes to the Canvas Learning Management System and/or the exchange of data as a prerequisite for the Courseware tool to deliver the expected functionality. This is different than simply placing a Courseware link within Canvas which redirects to another location outside of Canvas.
Courseware Link Permitted in Canvas
Courseware Links are defined as web page addresses that can be pasted into a browser, such as Chrome, to deliver the expected functionality.
Not Authorized for Use
Courseware that has been reviewed and is not authorized for use.
