Hello and welcome to my Rhetoric and Civic Life blog!

My name is Cris Kocian. I use they/them pronouns and am from a small town in Texas. I am majoring in geobiology with plans to enter the research field of astrobiology. I am a vegetarian and try to live as sustainably as I can. I enjoy playing any sport for fun, but my favorites are tennis and rock climbing. Some other hobbies of mine are hiking, volunteering, and thrifting. In my free time, I like to work out, listen to indie and pop music, and have fun with friends.

This blog is for my Rhetoric and Civic Life course. I am taking this course to strengthen my skills in using rhetoric to communicate through different mediums. There will be blog posts of the assignments from my class and me discussing a passion of mine. In the RCL class assignments, I will be analyzing concepts and responding to them with rhetorical writing. My passion blog will address prominent philosophical questions in hopes of making the audience really think and reevaluate a worldview. If this sounds of interest to you, then stick around!
