Program Dates

The Academic Leadership Academy will take place June 10-13, 2024. All sessions will be virtual and held through Zoom and Canvas, where the interactive content will be facilitated through case study discussions, polls, break-out rooms, and other features in addition to presentations by the faculty.

 

Pricing

The registration fee for the 2024 Academy is $1200 per individual, or $1,075 per individual for a group of 3 or more who register concurrently from the same institution.

 

Review, Registration, and Payment

You must be nominated and accepted into this program. To nominate yourself or someone else, complete the Nomination Form HERE

The nomination form includes a question requesting a brief statement (e.g., 4-5 sentences) of recommendation or for self-nominators a statement of interest explaining how the nominee’s/your prior professional experiences and current responsibilities position the nominee/you well to benefit from participation in this Academy.  Please be sure to answer this question. The form is not considered complete, and an admission decision will not be made, for nominations lacking this statement.

Registration materials and payment are due by May 1, 2024. To enable timely registration, we will review nominations and communicate acceptance decisions on a rolling basis. Accepted nominees will receive an email and forms from us via the leadershipacad@psu.edu email address containing detailed registration, payment, and Penn State Access ID instructions. The Access ID will enable you to access program materials in Canvas, Penn State’s learning management system.

Penn State Conferences and Institutes will process your registration, which will require completed registration forms and full payment. Please plan to submit your completed registration materials to Conferences and Institutes at least ten days prior to the registration deadline to leave time for them to process your forms and payment.

 

Certificates of Completion and CEUs

Those who log in to Canvas and Zoom and participate in all of the Academy sessions with no unexcused absences or one excused absence will receive a certificate of completion and 1.6 Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

 

Connectivity and Virtual Format

In the event of an internet disruption that impedes our ability to present a session as scheduled, the session will be rescheduled. Session presentations will be recorded and posted for your subsequent reference in the event you experience a scheduling conflict.

 

Refunds

On occasion, participants find that they need to withdraw from participation after registering.  To request a refund (minus a $50 administrative fee), send a written request at least two weeks prior to the day of the first session by email to PSUconferences@psu.edu. Include the name of the academy from which you wish to withdraw in your message.

If some unforeseen event forces Penn State to cancel or postpone the program, you will receive a full refund of your registration fee. You will be alerted promptly of any cancellations or changes.
