Reducing Mental Stress

Making changes– such as an exercise program, taking a daily walk, volunteering

Learn to cope– ask yourself- “What can I do about this problem?”  Try to change what can be changed and learn to acceptance the things that can not.

Learn to relax– controlling stress with relaxation therapy helps

Breathing exercises– yoga, deep breathing exercises done once a day are beneficial for several reasons

Regular exercise

Replace bad thoughts with good ones

Prayer and/or meditation
