Submit PDU’s for all Project Details Changes

Anything filled out in the PDU will overwrite what is in the Project Details screen, shown below. So when filling out your PDU, only change/add information that you want to be changed on the project.

You can add additional information about the submission of your PDU in the Reason field.

What are the main things you will submit PDUs for:

  • To update a the Project Name – Don’t forget to always add the 2 digit Campus Code in front of the new Project Name

PDU-project name

  • To update a Facilities Coordinator – note if you are adding an additional Facilities Coordinator, you must select all FCs currently listed on the Project Details screen because they will be overwritten with what is selected

PDU-Contacts

  • To change a Project Leader  – note, the PL Email field should also be filled out

PDU-PL Change

  • To change the Description/Scope of the overall project

PDU-Description-Scope

  • To change a building or add an additional building – if you are adding an additional building, you must select all buildings currently listed on the Project Details screen because the building will be overwritten with what is selected.  In order to select buildings, you must first select a Campus.

PDU-Building Change

  • To close a project.
    • The PDU must be filled out like the example below, if the stage and status are not selected as shown, the project will not be sent for closeout. 
      • Select Closeout for Stage
      • Select Closed for Project Status
    • This process will close the project in e-Builder and in Abacus. 
    • The project will be removed from all project members visibility.  If you would need to obtain any information from the project in the future please reach out to Jessica or Michelle.
    • Make sure that you attach the completed Closeout process instance to the PDU in the Attached Processes tab.

Where does the PDU go?

  • If you make changes to one of the following fields, the PDU goes directly to the eBAdmin to update roles or building information in other places in the project:
    • Facility Coordinator
    • Project Leader
    • Building
  • If you make changes to the Stage and Project Status (as shown below only) to Close a project, the process routes directly to the OPP Project Desk to start the closeout process.
    • Stage must equal Closeout
    • Status must equal Closed
  • The PDU goes straight to Finished and updates the Project Details screen if it is not one of the changes above.
