The Request for Information (RFI) process is used to manage and track construction phase requests for information or clarification that are submitted by the prime Contractor to the prime Designer. The Designer reviews the RFI, determines if a bulletin is needed, and provides a response. If the RFI response requires the issuance of a bulletin, this process can be used to automatically start the Bulletin process. If the RFI response does not require a bulletin, the Contractor reviews the response and determines if there will be a cost and/or schedule impact. If there is, the PSU Project Leader reviews the Contractor’s determination and can either disagree and close the process or agree and automatically start a Potential Change Order process.
