New 1-credit course available in Spring 2023.
Discover the fascinating diversity of insects, and learn about the role of natural history in science and society! We will discuss how natural history collections function, with hands-on activities that explore topics such as insect collection and preservation techniques, biodiversity data standards, data sharing, and insect natural history. Students will gain a basic understanding of how research and policy decisions are informed by biodiversity data and natural history collections.
We will meet Mon / Wed 1:25PM-2:15PM
in Headhouse III 102, beginning after spring break.
