We encourage students to explore the motto with any theme they can think of. Some ideas for themes that we thought are worth exploring are traveling to German-speaking countries or travel destinations; German-speaking immigrants in the US; German, Swiss, and Austrian heritage in Pennsylvania and the rest of the US; German, Swiss, and Austrian products and companies in a global economy; and the quintessential German “survival kit” (useful phrases and knowledge one needs to “survive” in a German-speaking environment).
