The theme for this year’s German Day will be “German Fairytales, Legends, and Sagas.” The magical worlds of German fairy tales remain an integral part of the German-speaking cultures. They continue to be popular not only with German learners all over the world, but more than 200 years after the publication of the first collection of fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm, the fairy tales are still translated into various languages and adapted.
