Kylie Introduction

Hi, everyone!

My name is Kylie and I travel a lot for my acting career and boyfriend’s professional baseball career, so I am literally all over the place. I am originally from Michigan, and moved to North Carolina to be with my mother when I was almost 16, and then 3 months after my 18th birthday, I moved to downtown Chicago for school. There, I was unexpectedly lured into acting by my talent agent (had her before for modeling), and then the next thing I know, I’m on Chicago P.D., Empire, Chicago Med, etc. (all TV shows).

I am in this World Campus program to focus on getting a degree in Advertising/Public Relations. I am a people person, so I feel that this course in particular will better my engagement with others and teach me how leadership works all over the world. I don’t know exactly what I’d like to do as a career yet, but something within advertising or public relations, for sure.

I don’t have much experience at all with leadership, but I know a decent amount through my stepdad, who is a leadership consultant and travels everywhere for his job. It seems like an interesting career.

“A leader is one who knows the way, goes the way, and shows the way.” This means a lot to me because I try to be a good role model/leader in general. I want to be someone who others look up to.

My favorite hobby is putting difficult puzzles together.
