Hello everyone,
My name is Syrita Beverly, everyone calls me Sy. I am excited to say this my final semester, come December, I will have earned my BS in Organizational Leadership. I have taken several of Dr. Redmond’s courses and I enjoyed every class so I’d thought why not end my World Campus journey with him.
I am from Philadelphia Pa, and I have two children my son (Hayden) is 7 and my daughter (Chloe) is 4. I decided to come back to school for my children and I am very happy I chose Penn State World Campus. Over the last two years, I have learned how to balance my school/work/personal life. I am here if anyone needs help trying to figure out how to do it.
I look forward to learning many new things about global leadership and working with you all. Best of luck and well wish to everyone!
Sy

Hi Sy,
I am also glad that I have chosen to continue my higher education through world campus. Taking online classes gave me the flexibility that I needed with my busy career schedule and a family of 5. One great tip I use to maintain a balanced school/work/personal life schedule is to have a planner and include checklists! This has saved me in many situations where I would have forgotten stuff but having a planner always kept me in line and allow me to see what I have accomplished through all the completed checkmarks! Hopefully this will help with this class in staying on top of assignments and readings. 🙂

Hello Tia,
Unfortunately, I will not be attending the graduation at University Park I will, however, apply to graduate at a campus nearby. Thanks for the compliment one of my friends pick the name Hayden but it seems to fit my son well. Lately, he’s been trying to figure out a nickname for himself but he has not come up with anything. Does your brother have a nickname?
My advice on successfully completing this course is to read the assignment first to know what the professor is looking for. Then, read the lesson commentary and the chapter assigned, sometimes you will find that one offers a little more in-depth detail of a term. Lastly, give yourself enough time to complete the assignment, if you are unsure about something you can always ask us (classmates) or email the professor. He is great at explaining exactly what you need. I hope this helps you.
Besh wishes and congratulations on your upcoming graduation.

Hi Syrita,
It’s nice to meet you! It is also my last semester as an Organizational Leadership Major. Will you be going to graduation? My brother’s name is Hayden. You have great taste in names.
Looking forward to this class. Do you have any advice on being successful in Dr. Redmond’s class?
