Hello class,
My name is Alexander Welsh, but I go by Alec. This is my first full semester through World Campus. I spent two years at Penn State Altoona before transferring to University Park where I also spent two years. I am now finishing the remainder of my classes through World Campus.
I am twenty-three years old and am from outside of Philadelphia. I an Economics Major. I bounced around majors before finally choosing to pursue a degree in Economics. I am currently working full-time while trying to finish my degree so World Campus fits my schedule best.
I am a huge Philadelphia Sports fan with the Eagles ranking slightly above the Sixers, Phillies, and Flyers. I hope to learn a lot throughout this semester. I hope everyone enjoys their semester!
Hey Alec,
As a previous pursuer of economics I salute you. Last semester I decided to switch from that to Organizational Leadership. The reason I switched was that I just lost interest unfortunately. For some reason I seem to run into more and more Eagles fans. I had a roommate some years ago who was from Philly and I think I underestimated how strong the bond is in that city to your sports teams because I have so many memories of him yelling at the TV, this was during some bad times for the Eagles of course. Good luck this semester.

Welcome to the class Alec. Your progress from campus to campus is what a system like this is built for and really reflects lifelong learning. I look forward to working with you this semester.
