It’s cool to learn more about the background of Area 51! To my knowledge, some people actually showed up on September 20th and it was essentially a gathering of enthusiasts. It was certainly pleasant to see a peaceful crowd rather than a mob that could’ve easily gotten out of hand.
I learned a lot about the interesting background of Area 51 from your blog and I believe this conspiracy theory will always be a popular one! To add on to what John said, I am also glad that the “Area 51 Raid” did not turn into a chaotic and dangerous situation.

However, a quick piece of info, the actual existence at all of Area 51 wasn’t confirmed until I believe 2011, and your line about guesses starting in the 1950s was therefore a bit misleading.
