Members of the Penn State Center for Gas Turbine Research, Education, and Outreach participated in the ASME Turbo Expo 2023, the gas turbine industry’s premier venue for gas turbine research and development. Penn State faculty and students served as Vanguard Chairs, Track Organizers, Session Chairs, Authors, and Presenters. Awards

  • ASME R. Tom Sawyer Award – Dr. Karen Thole
    • Awarded to an individual who has made important contributions to advance the purpose of the gas turbine industry and the ASME International Gas Turbine Institute over a substantial period of time. The contribution may be in any area of Institute activity but must be marked by sustained forthright efforts.
