Hello! Willkommen! Bienvenue !
I am an inaugural candidate in the dual-title PhD program in German Literature & Culture and Visual Studies at the Pennsylvania State University. My work looks at the intersection of art and technology in the German context and beyond. I especially focus on the ways in which visual technologies, such as those of photography, cinema, and even video games, have changed the way we perceive and interact with the world.Â
During the academic year, you can find me teaching undergraduate courses on German language and comparative literatures. Currently, I am focused on writing my dissertation, entitled “Technologies of Illumination in the 20th- and 21st-Century Avant-gardes.” Throughout my academic and professional endeavors, I strive to make the arts and humanities accessible to the public.
