Melinda Jin

Undergraduate Researcher

Melinda is a Biochemistry and Molecular Biology major from Audubon, Pennsylvania. She enjoys traveling, doing puzzles, and finding new favorite TV shows. She is also involved in Global Medical Brigades and Schreyer Student Council.

The goal of her research is to understand the effects of errors in purine metabolism through the model organism C. elegans. More specificially, she is studying whether or not the phenotypes associated with the knockdown of the genes adsl-1 and adss-1 in C. elegans are progressive.
