New Flooring in Place and Carpet on its Way
This past week construction crews installed the modular floors that promise to make power and data available anywhere in the new space. This has been accompanied by the installation of the cabling which has been creating a new look for the floor in the part of the Library currently in use. More than 100 data lines are now in place beneath the raised platform in our half of the space, and electricians are attaching them to receptacles and outlets in the section under construction. Once the lines have all been put in place carpet, will be laid down and the construction of the service desk and by mid June we should be in the new half . Construction then moves to the side near the spiral staircase with a projected December 2016 completion date.
