Gail McCormick is a communications strategist for the Penn State Eberly College of Science, where she writes press releases about research, manages the college’s magazine, and provides additional communications support. Originally from Rochester Hills, Michigan, she completed bachelor’s degrees in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and Theatre Arts at the University of Michigan in 2010 and a doctoral degree in Ecology in 2016 at Penn State, where she studied stress in lizards. Outside of the office, Gail stage manages plays and musicals for several local theater companies, plays D&D with a local group, and puts together lots of jigsaw puzzles.
