What We Do

We organize unique activities and events that help our graduate students to succeed in their ongoing studies and future careers.

CAREER SEMINARS
Speakers from different professional backgrounds are invited to talk about their career paths after graduate education. Our goal is to prepare our students for the realities of the future of science by providing information about different career options in academia and industry.

WORKSHOPS
We organize training and discussions that give students the opportunity to learn and expand the technical and interpersonal skills required for the completion of their graduate degree, job search, and future professional positions.

SOCIAL EVENTS
We organize monthly coffee-hours, happy-hours, and an annual summer picnic to facilitate interaction and develop stronger links between students in different graduate programs, departments, and organizations on our campus.

LIFE SCIENCES SYMPOSIUM
This is an annual event organized by the Huck Institutes of the Life Sciences and the Huck Graduate Student Advisory Committee to promote interdisciplinary collaboration. Each year, our symposium approaches a different theme in life sciences research. Our event’s program includes seminars from eminent speakers, student’s oral and poster presentations, prizes, etc. Our symposium is a great opportunity for our students to interact with and learn from other fellow researchers while building a professional network.
