Intermediate Science and Engineering is a concept-based and inquiry-based course with a focus on engineering design. Students learn about engineering practices and their guiding disciplinary core concepts by engaging with texts and media from the field of engineering. The final project for the course was to design an academic poster illustrating the identified engineering problem, reviewed existing approaches to the problem, and proposing potential solutions. The poster displayed was designed by Mohammed Alnajim, an IECP student enrolled in the course, who addressed the inefficiency of vertical/elevator transportation in skyscrapers.
