An R workshop was held on Wednesday, November 11th, 2015 at 6:00 pm in 103 Leonhard building. Lizbeth Benson (Libby) gave us the workshop. The session was a huge success and it is very helpful for students who want to start to learn R. More than 50 students attended the information session.
Her talks include such as:
- Basic commands, functions of R and how to get help in R
- Different types of variable, how to import, output data, how to simulate data from distributions
- Packages (ggplot) to visualize data
- Basic data analysis such as describing data etc.
The materials can be found at here.
She is from We R: Penn State R Users’ Group – a weekly meet-up providing an interdisciplinary workspace, discussion, and presentation forum for those who use (or would like to learn) the R statistics platform for scientific pursuits. And we are welcome to you to join the group and start your exciting journey with R.
