About Me

Picture of Julia Jablonski Julia Jablonski is a third-year student majoring in computer science. Her passions include creating the best experience for the user possible. On-campus at Penn State, she is involved in many different organizations including The Association of Women in Computing, Engineering Ambassadors, Penn State’s THON, Penn State Women In Engineering Program, and Engineering Student Tours and Resources (E- STARS). In these roles, she can help foster a community of inclusion within the College of Engineering. 

Julia has worked as a THON Weekend Dashboard developer, in this role she worked on a team of five other developers to maintain and update the THON Weekend Dashboard. In this role, she used her skills to work with Vue.js, Python, and Django. She was able to create connections and sharpen her developer skills all for the largest student-run philanthropy Penn State THON. Julia has also had professional experience. Julia worked for Cox Automotive as a Software Engineering Intern. In this role, she worked on a team of three interns to create an admin view for a Tip editor for loading screens. In this Julia worked with Stencil.js, Python, and AWS.

Julia also is involved heavily with volunteer work at Penn State. She is the Member Relations Chair for the Student Red Cross Club at Penn State. In this role, she coordinated with the members of the Student Red Cross Club to make a more inclusive and inviting space for all. She also volunteers at blood drives here on campus and is an On SIte Coordinator. In this role she helps ensure that the blood drives run smoothly, helping organize all of the student volunteers.

Julia is looking forward to a career in software development. She is passionate about making websites that help people in any way that she can. She enjoys working with Javascript to also let her creative side show.
