Jason Wins First Place in Poster Competition at MS&T 2019

Jason won first place in the Undergraduate Student Poster Competition at the 2019 MS&T Conference in Portland, OR. He presented his work “Thermodynamic Properties of Strontium-Lead Alloys Determined by Electromotive Force Measurements”

Timothy Lichtenstein is Officially Dr. Timothy Lichtenstein!

Timothy Lichtenstein successfully defended his thesis “Fundamentals and Applications of Liquid Metals Towards Electrochemical Separation”. Huge congratulations to Dr. Lichtenstein! We are all very proud of you!

For the June 2919 Steidle Cafe, Tim gave a great talk about his background and his research! Well done Tim!

“Tim Lichtenstein, D.O.E. Fellow, Ph.D. student, shared some of the highlights from his trip to Germany and recommend it as a great place to vacation. He also shared his love of batteries which inspired many of his tattoos. Tim’s energy when he spoke about his research with the Kim Group, showed he is definitely a man doing what he loves.
