[June-2023] Mohammadreza’s paper on a D-band phase shifter won the Best Student Paper Award (1st place) at the 2023 IEEE Radio-Frequency Integrated Circuit (RFIC) Symposium. Among published D-band phase shifters, this work achieves the lowest RMS phase error with bi-directional phase control and calibration-free operation.

[June-2023] The HSIC Lab has been awarded the Future of Semiconductors (FuSe)-TG grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF). Prof. Lee will lead this collaborative effort to explore heterogeneous modules, array antenna, and IC co-design for energy-efficient D-band wireless communications and radar (PI: Wooram Lee, Co-PIs: Mark Rodwell(UCSB), Chung-Tse Michael Wu (Rutgers), Kevin Gu(Astrabeam)). [Nov-2022] Prof. Lee’s work on “A 24-30 GHz Power Amplifier with >20 dBm Psat and <0.1 dB AM-AM Distortion for 5G Application” in collaboration with Fujikura, Japan and IBM research has been selected for “APMC 2022 Prize” in 2022 Asia-Pacific Microwave Conference (APMC2022).
