THIS IS….. (Fill it in)

Before I provide the title of this weeks film, I’d like to address something. You guys may have noticed that I’ve posted a lot of contemporary movies that came out in the past 10 years or so. Some great films, such as The Godfather and The Breakfast Club, will not appear in my blogs. Why? Because I didn’t really start watching films until like middle school and I haven’t watched many of these classics. So I apologize for that. Now, for this weeks film, I will be describing about the bravery, audacity, and six-muscular-abdominal packs of the loyal 300. The 300 is a fictional depiction of the actual Battle of Thermopylae, which occurred during the Persian invasion of Greece back some thousand years ago. Here’s the synopsis of the film:

Sparta, a well-known city-state for its fearless warriors, is under the leadership of King Leonidas (portrayed by Gerard Butler). The Persians are overrunning the land and Sparta can either join them and bow down to the Persian King or be annihilated. At this time, King Leonidas has a choice: should he save his people and lose his pride or die as a Spartan? In the end, he chose to fight, and the senate totally disagrees with their king. But, as the bad*** he is, Leonidas goes to war, and brings with him the elite soldiers who are totally loyal to the him, the 300. Literally, the fight between Sparta and Persia is like David versus Goliath. The ratio is 300 to a bajillion gazillion Persian troops. But despite these odds, the Spartans come out time after time. Why? Because they are the best! In the film, you see these guys with crazy big muscles, ripped and pumped. The only thing they wear is a cape and triangular underwear-like garments (like superman). Their weapons are the shield and spear. Nevertheless, despite their hard work, they eventually get wiped out. But no one coward away! The final scene shows the 300 dying side by side, fighting to the very end and holding a sense of pride and fierceness as they get overtaken by the overwhelming Persian army.

I personally like this film because it’s inspiring. It teaches the viewers about courage and how no matter what happens, people should never abandon who they truly are. Traitors are hideous while loyal people are prized. Watch this film if you like action for there is a lot!

By the way, the (fill it in) part should be SPARTA!!!!!! And also, there is another 300 film in the making– 300: Rise of an Empire. Probably a sequel.300-movie03                                         300-Movie-Publicity-Still-300-222280_1500_783
